On 31 May 2016, Stefan talked about a beta-version of his book How winners make choices for a select group of C-level managers from multinationals such as such ASR, Ageas, Baloise, Bank of New York Mellon, Baxter, Bekaert, Bentley Motors, Caesar Groep, Callebaut&Co, Dell, Evonik, Fibersail, Ghent University, Heraeus, Hoge Raad Diamant, Johnson & Johnson, Komatsu, Michelin, Nokia, Proximus, Puratos, Renolit, UCB, Unilin and VRT.

Stefan first introduced some essential building blocks for How winners make choices when he received the International Francqui Chair by the rector of Ghent University on March 26, 2015. Each year, the Francqui foundation awards 2-3 International Chairs to scientists nominated by the boards of Belgian universities. These chairs are awarded to professors abroad who excel in their field. Because the Francqui foundation wants to promote active research that is relevant for business, Stefan wrote the book How winners make choices partly as a way to thank the foundation for the honour they bestowed upon him.

The objective of Director’s Challenges are to challenge, fascinate and inspire director’s based on current themes, and speakers who based on their own experiences discuss who they deal with these topics.

The mayor of Wijnegem and the chairwoman of Open VLD, Gwendolyn Rutten, explained how they provide political support to companies that make winning choices.

On November 14, 2016, Stefan presented his new book How winners make choices to Jacques van den Broek, CEO of Randstad, at the headquarters of Randstad in Diemen. Stefan and Jacques explained their vision on how to make winning choices towards profitability. Randstad employs 30,000 people worldwide and is the number two in the global temporary staffing market after Adecco.
